What’s Happening at WNMU’s Small Business Development Center

The SBDC is partnering with Acción and Money Management

International to present a financial literacy workshop February 9 in the

Global Resource Center on the WNMU campus. Three topics will be

discussed:

• Creating Wealth: Stocking up for the long haul

• Important Papers: Your reference guide and travel log

• Credit Reports and Credit Scores: Getting the most mileage

from credit.

 

Tom Garrity, president of the Garrity Group, a public relations firm in Albuquerque, will present

“How to Use the Cool Internet Technology” February 15 in the Thomas McDonald Student

Memorial Building. This workshop is a follow-up to an earlier one and will provide some live

instruction on how to use and leverage the most popular technology on the Internet: FaceBook,

Skype, YouTube, Twitter, Trillian, and Tabloid.

SBDC’s 2010 Client of the Year, Miranda Parkey and her business, Parkey’s Coffee Shop in

Cliff, will be recognized during New Mexico Small Business Development Center Network Day,

February 25 during the Legislative session.
